Coldridge clay pigeon shoot

THE 6th annual Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot, in aid of Coldridge Village Hall, will be held at Higher Chilverton Farm, Coldridge, on Monday, May 1 from 11.30am.

Andrew Green, who is hosting the event, said: “This will be the sixth year of running this event and we are again looking forward to continuing our success and provide everyone with an enjoyable and good value fun day. There will be prizes for the first five places in the Open class and the first three in the Novice class.

“This year we are again inviting responsible beginners to come along and have a go from 12 noon onwards.

“A shotgun and free tuition will be provided as well as cartridges being available for sale. This will be away from the main shooting area so that people need not think that they are holding up the professionals!

“Just to note that it is now mandatory on shooting grounds that ear protection and safety glasses must be used which will be available at a reasonable cost if required.”

Refreshments will be available during the day.
