ON Maundy Thursday a large number of members and friends of Morchard Bishop Bowling Club made their way to the bowling clubhouse for a Coffee Morning, where hot cross buns were served with the coffee and tea.

There were stalls selling cakes and bric-a-brac and Jean Moore had her popular stall with hand-made designer knitwear including jumpers and slippers and needlework with cushions and peg bags.

There were two raffles, one with a basket of groceries and wine.

It was a very pleasant social occasion as well as making a welcome contribution to bowling club funds of just over £175.
