THANKS to the efforts of club members Dave Nicks, John Kinsey and Lloyd Reynolds, North Tawton Bowling Club organised a great fun day, with teams from the local area.

A maximum entry saw some happy faces all trying to win and take part in this competition excellently arranged by Robert Arscott.

It was lovely to see the club being used in this way with family, children and friends joining in the fun.

With all the refreshments and food available (supplied by the ladies of the club) and the weather behaving, the teams battled it out for a place in the semi finals.

The final was between two teams from The Fountain Inn. It was the Fountain team of Tony Fisher, Nigel Dunster and Mark Denis that eventually won the Shield.

Thanks to all that took part and to all the club members who worked hard to make it a successful and memorable day but also a profitable day for the Bowls Club.
