IT was with caution in a “virtual AGM” that was held on April 8, 2021 that the following was agreed by North Tawton Bowling Club members:
The officers, post and management committee were voted in full from 2020.
The only vacancy not filled was Vice Captain to Jan Summers, Club Captain, and we are hoping someone will step forward.
A lot of work has been done on the Clubhouse and surrounds, but mainly on the green.
This was done in lockdown by a few members under the supervision of Greenkeeper’s Rob Arscott and Dave Cooper and Chairman John Kinsey, maintaining social distancing at all times.
Members were assured all would look spick and span and welcoming for the re-opening on April 19.
There will be restricted bowling both in numbers and rinks but a booking system devised by Fixture Secretary Gordon Denham will at least let play commence.
Anita Lamey, Club Secretary said: "All things being well, restrictions will cease from June 21 with a Full Fixture list and the Clubhouse will be open and the sun will shine."
Old and new members please filter back, there is always a welcome awaiting.
The Club now has a new Handbook, which was devised by Jan Summers.
It includes all anyone needs to know about the club, who is who and how to play the great game of Bowls.
See the club’s website for further details.
