LEADING film education charity, Into Film, has announced this year’s Into Film Awards nominees and Ezekiel Vincent (19) from Crediton, is set to walk the red carpet.
His film, Uncountable, Unthinkable, Full of Life, is nominated in the brand new ‘Innovation in Filmmaking’ category, which showcases impressive feats of creativity and technical prowess, and has been sponsored by Lucasfilm Ltd.
The glitzy ceremony has previously been attended by some of the biggest stars in the industry including Hugh Grant, Daniel Craig, Lashana Lynch, Olivia Cooke, Eddie Redmayne, Lily James, Luke Evans, Elizabeth McGovern, Gemma Arterton, Charles Dance, Ruth Wilson, James Norton, Bill Nighy, Simon Pegg, Martin Freeman and Naomie Harris.

Made with Blender 3D, this dazzling short animation follows an artist struggling for inspiration, only to find herself falling into her very own blank page and whisked away on a phantasmagorical journey that reignites her imagination.
Ezekiel said: “This film was inspired simply by being in a headspace of 'looking for inspiration'.
“Occasionally, you run out of inspiration, which is a horrible feeling, I had that recently, so I took some time away and during a walk I started to feel inspired again.
“I noticed the patterns around me and thought about making a film about them, and this eventually formed the story of an artist drawing something simple which they think can't go anywhere, but inspiration draws them in and changes their mind.
“So, this film is auto biographical, and my animation journey has taught me that I sometimes need to take a step away from my work to come back stronger.
“This film took around a month and a half between university work and assignments. This film was made entirely solo in Blender, which includes modelling, texturing, animation and more. The editing was completed on DaVinci Resolve.”

The Awards, sponsored by the UK film industry, celebrates young people’s creativity in film, showcasing and highlighting the wealth of tomorrow’s creative talent.
This year’s Awards received hundreds of entries from every corner of the UK, with stories ranging from light-hearted comedies to thought-provoking films and documentaries.
Other nominee topics and stories include being a Ukrainian refugee, staying safe online, youth mental health, tips for supporting young people with special educational needs, Muslim identity, and socio-economic observations.
Into Film is supported by the BFI, awarding National Lottery funding.
