A PRIMARY School near Crediton has been rated “good in all areas”.

Yeoford Primary School head of school Peter Halford, said he was delighted to receive the Ofsted rating.

He was pleased that the report reflected: “Pupils make good progress and achieve higher than average standards”.

The report confirmed that: “The current staff are a strong teaching team who work together well to deliver a good-quality education.”

The inspection highlighted that the children’s behaviour was good and that staff were vigilant about ensuring children’s safety and they support children to develop good habits for keeping themselves safe and healthy.

Sue Leyman, Executive Head of the successful Woodleigh Federation which also includes Cheriton Bishop and Tedburn St Mary, was pleased that the report recognised that “Governors are very supportive of the school” and “ambitious for the school’s future development” with “The Head of School providing good leadership and building a team that works well together.”
