AROUND 80 people attended “Yeo Rocks”, a live music night held at Yeoford Community Hall on Saturday, May 20.

Three bands entertained, “Spin 2”, the “Red Dirt Band” and “Yeo Division”, playing between them a mixture of folk, rock and alternative 80s.

The organisers said that more than £2,000 had been raised, which is being split between Crediton Foodbank and The Trussell Trust, with more donations still being accepted.

The event was organised by Yeoford villagers with Busker Bernie, who performed with two of the bands, and members of Yeoford Community Association.

The organisers would like to thank the Beer Engine at Newton St Cyres and Utopian Brewing for their generous donations, the three bands who gave up their time for free, all those who donated promises for the auction, including the Duck at Yeoford, and to everyone who attended with items for the foodbank.
