A MASS grave from World War One in Fromelles, Northern France, discovered last year, is being excavated and the soldiers identified.

Four hundred British and Australian soldiers were buried there. Once they have all been identified, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) plans to re-inter them in a new war cemetery.

The CWGC has created the website Remembering Fromelles to help identify those buried in the mass grave. If you think you may have a relative among them, look at http://www.cwgc.org/fromelles">www.cwgc.org/fromelles or write to: Historic Casualty Casework, Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre, SPVA, Imjin Barracks, Gloucester GL3 1HW.
