MORE than 200 homes in the Yeoford area were without mains electricity for almost three days due to an underground cable fault that happened at 1.18pm on Wednesday, May 2.
A total of 715 customers were affected with 466 restored within two minutes and a further 88 were back on by 2.40pm. One of those affected was the village school.
A Western Power spokeswoman said that another 25 were back on again by 1.52pm. A generator was brought in to supply power for the rest between 4.20pm and 5.20pm on Wednesday. This remained working until Saturday morning.
The generator was parked on The Oaks and feeding into that electricity sub station.
