CREDITON area walkers are encouraged to take part in a panoramic walk on the Raddon Hills using private and public footpaths on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27.
The Jane Iffla Memorial Walk, raises funds for Hospiscare and Stockleigh Pomeroy Church and entry is £5 per adult with children under 14 free (accompanied by an adult). Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
The walk starts and finishes at Stockleigh Pomeroy Village Hall (EX17 4AU) and registration at 2.15pm with the walk starting at 2.30pm.
Jane Iffla started these fundraising walks more than 10 years ago, she was a member of Stockleigh Pomeroy Church and also played a role in the Exeter Diocese.
Sadly she died of cancer not long after retiring from her post as an Exeter headteacher, but the walks have continued.
Tea and cakes will be on sale when walkers return to the village hall and the church will be open for visitors/ viewing.
