THE Devon and Cornwall Police helicopter located a vulnerable missing person hiding in a thick field hedge at Crediton this afternoon (Saturday, July 2).

The police helicopter was seen flying over the town for more than half an hour from about 4.30pm.

On "Twitter" the helicopter staff reported that the person was "now safe".

At around the same time an unrelated incident occurred in the town.

Crediton firefighters, co-responders, attended an incident in the Landscore area of the town after a woman suffered a seizure.

She was taken to hospital by a land ambulance.
