THERE were less volunteers than some previous occasions helping with a Spring Clean and Litter Pick around Copplestone, but those who did certainly helped brighten up the village.

Many bags of litter were collected, the bus shelter was scrubbed and pressure washed.
Weeds were removed, overgrown areas cut back and lots of areas tidied.
All ages took part in the event.

This was the fourth Spring Clean and Litter Pick, the first held as part of the King’s Coronation “Big Help Out” when more than 50 took part.
Organiser Suzanne Lunn, said: “The Methodist Church Hall was provided free-of-charge and the church also supplied the tea, coffee and cakes.

“Free bacon butties were kindly funded by Copplestone Parish Council.
“Thanks to all who took part.”
