THE "Crediton Food and Drink Festival" story last appeared in the Courier on Friday, June 19, issue 1038.
The seventh Crediton Food and Drink Festival, which was held in the Town Square on June 13 and 14, was a huge success.
Hundreds of visitors, including some from France, Germany and Holland flocked to the festival which was the opening event for the four-week long Crediton Festival.
There were a number of food and drink related stalls, a treasure hunt, face painting, a raffle and lots more. A popular addition to this year's festival was the closure of Market Street, which was lined with a variety of food stalls.
During the evening there were a number of stalls selling food and drink and visitors were treated to live music.
On the Sunday visitors were able to enjoy the Big Sunday Lunch in the Town Square with acoustic music from a selection of musicians.
Everyone I have spoken to thought it was a fantastic event.

It was brilliant – fantastic! Especially with the road closed – It was wonderful. We really enjoyed the demonstrations by the butcher and the fish man – they were very entertaining. They were very skilled.
