By Nora ParminterINFORMATION for our readers on the road closure has appeared in the Crediton Courier and on our social media sites on a number of occasions in recent weeks.
The Courier was initially informed that the whole of the High Street would be closed for a period of four weeks, from January 25, while South West Water carried out major works to collapsing sewage pipes.
Since the road works began a diversion has been in operation taking vehicles along country lanes and residential areas in the town.
The situation on the High Street, when improved Searle Street and St Saviours Way were re-opened to allow access to parking on part of the High Street. The A377 up to North Street has remained open and people have been parking in front of the barriers on the High Street, close to shops and businesses.
Please let me know how the road closure has affected you.
