• Police confirmed late last night that the male motorcyclist involved in the bike had died and renewed their appeal for witnesses.

The road has since re-opened.

EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of a collision between a motor vehicle and a motorcycle between Newton St Cyres straight and Hookway Cross, Crediton at about 5.50pm earlier today, Thursday, May 7.

WITNESSES SOUGHT

The A377 road was closed in the area and is likely to remain closed for some time to enable accident investigation by the police to take place.

Devon and Cornwall Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision to come forward with details.
