A GATHERING to celebrate International TuTu Day was held on Crediton Town Square on Thursday, February 2.
It was a damp and dreary afternoon but people of all ages attended the event wearing their tutus. They enjoyed the fun and colourful event, which was organised by Hazel Underwood and ran from 4pm to 5pm.
Staff at some of the shops and cafes around the Town Square wore their tutus throughout the day.
Workshops were held in the run-up to the event so that adults and children could make their own tutus and get sponsorship for wearing them on the day.
The event has, so far, raised £636 for Amnesty International in support of women around the world fighting for the right to choose how they live, work or dress.

International TuTu Day began last year on the auspicious date 2/2/22 and is now celebrated on February 2 every year.
