PEOPLE of all ages gathered in Crediton’s Town Square to celebrate International TuTu Day on Friday, February 2.

They succeeded in brightening up a dreary winter's day and making people smile.

Fun and games were organised by Hazel Underwood and Karen With using a tutu soundtrack, a parachute, a teddy in a tutu and colourful recycled net fabric.

Lots of the adults and children had attended workshops to make their tutus and there was even a dog in a tutu!

People at local cafes and businesses joined in by wearing tutus for the day, including Pippins nursery staff and children who enjoyed dressing up and tutu inspired artwork.

International TuTu Day began two years ago in Crediton to mark the auspicious date 2/2/22 and is now celebrated on February 2 each year.
