£875 raised for Crediton MS Group at vintage gathering

ON a beautiful, hot, sunny day in September, Tony Folland and many helpers organised a Vintage Gathering at Broadwoodkelly, near Winkleigh, which raised almost £1,000 for the Crediton and District Multiple Sclerosis Support Group.

It was a busy day with many people visiting to see vintage motor bikes, cars, stationery engines, light commercial vehicles and tractors. There was also garden machinery, horticultural items and an auto jumble.

Refreshments and Hockins’ delicious ice creams were served all day by Tony’s helpers and the day ended with a draw.

Tony thanks his many helpers who between them raised a magnificent sum of £875 for the Crediton MS Group.

Jenny Smith, secretary and fundraiser of Crediton MS told the Courier: “I would like to thank Ray Wicker and Donald Kingdom for all their help on the day, selling goods on our MS stall which raised £115 for our group.

“Thank you to Tony for making the whole day so special for everyone."
