PETS big and small made their way to Mole Avon Town and Country Stores on Mill Street, Crediton last weekend for a pet and equine open day, when the store was alive with a host of unusual sounds.

Staff of Jonathan Wood Veterinary Surgery, based at Barnstaple Cross, were kept busy with a free microchipping service, while Groomed to Pawfection, based on Crediton High Street, were dealing with a series of dogs whose owners wanted them to look tidier.

Representatives from various pet and equine companies who supply Mole Avon must have almost lost their voices by the end of the day with their stands rarely being empty!

They included Beaphar, who supply a complete range of pet healthcare products for guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, cats, dogs etc.

James Wellbeloved, who supply naturally healthy, hypo-allergenic cat and dog food were also in attendance, as were Carr and Day and Martin, manufacturers of horse care products.

Protexin Equine Premium, who specialise in pre-biotics and pro-biotics, in fact, anything to do with gut health for horses, were also on hand for advice.

The event, now in its third year, was as popular as ever, offering both new and existing customers a fun packed day full of great offers and advice.

“A fantastic day was had by all,” says Vicki Hill, Operations Manager of the Crediton Mole Avon Town and Country Stores.

“It was non-stop all day, with people going away with lots of bargains. It was good to see so many customers both new and existing.

“We would like to thank Groomed to Pawfection, Jonathan Woods Veterinary Surgery, the Tiverton Blue Cross and all the trade for giving their time and for making it an enjoyable day all round.”
