THE St Boniface Concert Society will welcome a much sought after group to perform in a concert at Crediton Parish Church on Sunday, July 16.

The King’s Men is a close harmony group formed from the Choral Scholars of the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge.

The group is most famous for the broadcasts of the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on BBC TV and Radio each Christmas.

It has excelled in the performance of early Renaissance polyphony but they also enjoy the chance to sing outside the “classical music” box and their repertoire includes folk songs, jazz and light music.

The group offers a mixed programme with organ interludes.

The concert will begin at 3pm and regular concert goers are advised to please note the change from the society’s usual day and time for this concert.

Tickets, priced at £14 (student concession £6, Under 16 free) are available from A E Lee Outfitters, High Street, Crediton and on the afternoon of the concert on the door.
