I AM writing to thank you for writing the story in the "Crediton Courier" (September 2) about my missing cat, Percy, as it did, in fact, lead to his safe return!

A lady who lives locally saw your story in the "Courier" last Friday and thought the description matched a scared looking cat she had seen hiding in her barns a few days before.

She telephoned to tell us of the sighting and later that evening we went up to look around the farm and found a rather hungry and tired but otherwise safe cat.

Thank you so much for running the editorial - I dread to think what might have happened otherwise.
