THE Saint Boniface Concert Society is delighted to be presenting a Flute and Harp Concert in Crediton Parish Church on Sunday, September 17, beginning at 3pm.

The Concert will feature the Walentin Denholm Duo, Alena Walentin on flute and Anne Denholm on harp, the concert including works by Rota, Bizet, Saint-Saëns, Sibelius and Alwyn.

Since first working together in 2015, Alena Walentin and Anne Denholm have been exploring the exciting repertoire written for this beautiful combination of instruments.

The duo has given recitals for societies across the UK and Denmark, and has received support from Making Music and the William Alwyn Foundation.

Alena Walentin is an international soloist, chamber musician, teacher, guest solo flute with leading orchestras, and former Vice-Chair of the British Flute Society.

Anne Denholm is one of the leading British harpists of her generation.  She served as Official Harpist to the Prince of Wales from 2015 to 2019.

She freelances with orchestras including the London Philharmonic, and enjoys the role of Instrumental Tutor with the National Youth Orchestra.
