THE sun shone for Landscore Primary School PTA’s Summer Fayre helping to make it a truly enjoyable evening.

There was a barbecue and bar and many of the stalls and games were run by the pupils who relished the challenge of raising money for their school.

The event began with the Landscore Singers performing to a large and appreciative crowd.

There were lots of activities and events and the outgoing head teacher, Gary Read, wrote in his final school newsletter: “Excellent attendance and hard work has ensured that the PTA made a profit of £1,301.07 from the Summer Fayre. Well done everyone!”

He said that the money raised by the PTA at the Fayre had been allocated towards the refit of the school library.

He praised the PTA for its past fundraising efforts at the school, including much of the play equipment at the school.
