IN response to an article on the "Crediton Courier’s" website about the outline planning application for 120 homes on land at Chapel Downs Farm near Queen Elizabeth Drive.

This beautiful area of Crediton scenery is being mauled by the money-obsessed savages in the housing industry.

They don’t care that they are destroying something that is stunningly beautiful that adopts a new look as the season’s pass by and the field goes from soil, to seed, to greenery and then finally to corn. It really is special to be able to witness.

That is what will be taken from us just so that another housing company can throw another few hundred houses up and line their pockets with a few more million quid. All under promise that it will better more lives.

Well it doesn’t take a psychic to tell us that is a load of codswallop.

If these companies really want to make a difference to peoples lives, how about a proposal to build some dwellings for the homeless veterans that are currently living on the streets in nearby Exeter.

People who served their country with distinction, people who came back from Afghanistan that were thanked for their service, here’s a medal. Sorry we can’t give you a home, good luck.

It really is a sorry sight.
