STOCKLEIGH Pomeroy Harvest Produce Show, was a great success, with a good number of entries and lots of visitors during the afternoon, who sat down to enjoy tea and cake.
The judges were David and Jill Baker, who now live in Barnstaple. Margaret Huntley ran the draw.
The results were; basket of vegetables - Sue Lewis, three tomatoes - Sue Lewis, three courgettes - Alex Brock, longest runner bean - Jessica, bottle of homemade flavoured gin - Alex Brock, chocolate sponge - Rosemary Meikle, loaf of bread - James Huntley, six eggs - Susan Lewis, jar of lemon curd - Stephanie Moore, orange marmalade - Stephenie Moore, jar of chutney - Holly Belcher, three Fruit Scones - Poppy, Cornish meat pasty - James Huntley, mInature flower arrangement - Zara Rogers, floral arrangement for a Platinum Jubilee - June Hill, three Roses - Alex Brock, a door stop - June Hill, a Platinum Jubilee card, - Lola Gill, a photo of the sea side - June Hill, an item of wood or metal work - Holly Belsher.
One of the organisers Ann Huxtable, said she was “delighted that they were able to run the event again, after the lockdown, and was so pleased with the entries and all the visitors who came to support it.”
