A SOUTH West In Bloom judge visited Crediton on Thursday, July 16 as part of Crediton Town Council’s entry into the main 'Britain in Bloom' competition.

The judge, Rod, from Bristol, was taken on a guided tour around the town, showcasing the fantastic floral displays and the amazing community effort that makes Crediton special.

Some of the stops along the tour include Postbox Corner, St Lawrence Green, Peoples Park, the Town Square and Newcombes Meadow.
In preparation for the visit, many people in the town tidied spaces outside their homes and premises to help make the town look its very best.

The judge acknowledged the recent heatwaves had caused difficulties in keeping plants and grassed areas looking their best.
The result will be announced in October.
