CONSERVATIVE Central Devon MP Sir Mel Stride visited South Zeal to congratulate the winner of his Christmas Card competition, South Tawton Primary School student Ruairi.

Mel presented a prize to the winning student and thanked pupils for the many creative entries submitted he received.

During the visit, Mel also met with Headteacher Emma Goodwin and staff to thank them for their dedication and the important work they do supporting pupils.

“It was a pleasure to visit South Tawton Primary School and congratulate the winning student,” said Sir Mel.

Headteacher Emma Goodwin added: “The pupils thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Christmas card competition and it was wonderful to celebrate the winner together.”
