CREDITON Boniface Rotary Club recently organised a collection point for donations of sleeping bags and rucksacks from members of the public held at Morrisons store in Mill Street, Crediton.

The sleeping bags and rucksacks collection was organised by the Rotary Club to be donated to St Petrock’s, the Exeter charity for people who are homeless or vulnerably housed.

The Crediton Courier was pleased to be involved in publicising the collection point and dozens were donated by the public for the appeal.

Rotarians Paul Haynes (President), Paul Radnor, Steve Rowe and Paul Fallon recently delivered a selection of sleeping bags and rucksacks to St. Petrock’s.

Gill Luckings of St. Petrocks commented: “We would like to thank everyone at Crediton Boniface Rotary Club for supporting St Petrock’s with this amazing collection of vital survival items and the people of Crediton and surrounding area for donating so generously.

“Thank you so much, these items make all the difference to people who are, unfortunately, rough sleeping.”

Rotarian Paul Radnor said: “Crediton Boniface members would like to thanks both Morrisons for their help in making the collection possible and to Rose Removals who supplied the container at the collection point.”
