ROLLER Rebels, Crediton’s Roller-Skate Club is proving a hit with people from far and near.

The Club started in February last year and runs every Tuesday from 7pm to 8.15pm in the Indoor Sports Hall at Queen Elizabeth’s School’s Western Road campus.

Founder, Simon Archer, said that the sessions attract an average of 16 people each week who enjoy a Roller Disco-type atmosphere complete with music and lighting.

He explained: “We attract people from Crediton, Chulmleigh, Exeter and Taunton and have a mixture of experienced, learners and middle-classification who attend.

“It is a really friendly place to skate to lights and music and is for adults and over 16’s.

“Those coming along are asked to bring their own skates as we don’t provide a hire service.

“Skating is a great way to see fit and have fun and some that come along say it is really good for their mental health.

“New members are welcome and the cost is £6 per session or £15 per month.

“The charge helps us pay towards the venue hire.
