THIS year’s Christmas Tree Festival at Silverton will be held at the Methodist Church, Fore Street (opposite The Lamb Inn) from Friday, December 6 to Saturday, December 7 from 10.30am to 6pm, on each day.

Admission is £1 per person with a lucky programme. There will be the usual decorated trees, raffle, Christmas and produce stalls and a “Hunt the Mice” competition.

Light lunches will be available from 12 noon until 2pm, with home-made soups and pasties as well as the usual delicious home-made cakes and tea or coffee available all day.

The Walk and Talk group will also be having a walk on the Friday morning and finishing with refreshments at the Methodist Church and an early look at the trees.

Plans are in-hand for the Celebration of Christmas on Sunday, December 8 at 3pm after which the trees will be taken down.

Proceeds this year are for the Silverton Pre School and St Petrock’s, Exeter.
