THIS year World Book Day will be held on March 3, when every pupil in schools, taking part, can collect a voucher for a free book (valid until March 27, 2016).
Crediton Community Bookshop (CCB) has the full range of special World Book Day titles, which are free with a voucher or just £1 to buy.
It is a brilliant opportunity to try something new or pick a favourite from authors like Roald Dahl, David Baddiel, James Patterson, Lauren St John and many more!
You could also use your voucher to claim £1 off another book at the shop - CCB has a fantastic range of beautiful picture books, classic fairy tales, hilarious joke books, fascinating fact books, absorbing puzzle books and, of course, stories for all ages and interests.
If you can’t find the book you want the book shop can order anything that is currently available.

Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren
I LIKE Pippi Longstocking because no-one can tell her what to do. Not even the policemen!
She doesn’t have any parents, but she does have a monkey and a horse, which live with her in Villekulla Cottage.
I love Pippi Longstocking because it is funny.
I would definitely recommend this great book.

’Hamish and The Never People’ by Danny Wallace
This book was really epic. It’s about two children called Hamish and Holly.
Hamish is from Earth but Holly is from Other Earth, which is the complete opposite of our Earth. Hamish is really kind but Holly is really mean.
They have two friends called Alice and Alan and guess what? They’re opposites as well.
Alice is tough and wild but Alan is a bit of a wimp and wears a crash helmet to bed just in case he falls onto the floor in the night.
I don’t want to tell you the whole story but these four are really brave and fight the evil Axel Scarmish who is trying to "blank" the Queen’s memory and take over the world.
This book was really great; mysterious and very funny. You’ve got to read it!
