CURRENTLY on display in the Learning Centre at RHS Rosemoor, Torrington, and running until August 26, is an an exhibition of a number of pastel and oil paintings by local artist Pam Cox.
Pam, from Morchard Bishop, comes from an artistic background, and she will be exhibiting a number of works, mainly of Devon landscapes.
Her grandfather, parents and siblings are all artists and although she was initially a secretary, she says: “The beautiful South West countryside, with the colour of its ever-changing seasons inspired me to paint.”
She added: “My art portrays the quintessential Devon landscapes of winding lanes, flower meadows, rivers and the magnificent coastline of North Devon.
“Over the years many visitors from the UK and abroad, have taken home with them just a little flavour of our stunning county by buying a ’Pam Cox’ painting.”
Pam regularly exhibits her art work at regional Art Fairs and Country Shows and also attends both Tavistock and Barnstaple Pannier Markets on a regular basis.
Her work has also been published in limited edition prints.
