GEORGE Davey, Assistant District Commissioner for Mid Devon Scouts, is putting out a call for all former scouts to check their lofts and airing cupboards for old uniforms dating back to before 1967.

The uniforms are required for a St George’s Day fashion show which will showcase the changing uniforms though time.

In particular, George is in short supply of socks and garters but full uniforms would be gratefully accepted.

The uniforms will be required before the dress rehearsal being held on Wednesday, April 13.
