DUE to the recent snow in the Crediton area Sandford School was closed on World Book Day on March 1, and instead celebrated the event on Thursday, March 8.

The children received a visit from Cathy Holden from Crediton Community Bookshop who read to them and took along 20 new titles for the children to browse.

On the day, the school celebrated reading and writing and some children dressed as their favourite book characters.
