MANY people from across Crediton area took part in a seventh national applause of thanks to key, care and health workers helping in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic on Thursday, May 7.

A large number of Sandford residents took part and, again, many pots and pans were also bashed and musical instruments played.

The organisers of the Clap for Carers campaign started it online and said it was being staged because "during these unprecedented times, (NHS staff) need to know we are grateful".

• Don’t forget to take part tonight at 8pm!
