THE Annual Meeting of the Crediton Branch of the Royal British Legion will be held on Friday, November 26 at 10.30am in the Lounge at Housing 21 (middle block) Clifford Gardens, Crediton EX17 2AN.

Jane Sansom, Crediton Poppy Appeal Organiser told the “Courier”: “We need to appoint officers and committee members for the next year to ensure that the Branch continues as we near our centenary and that ongoing we are able to collect for the Annual Poppy Appeal.

“Due to illness and ageing members we are currently a diminishing band of volunteers. We need to maintain the appropriate number of officers and committee members to continue.

“We support each other and share RBL tasks that need to be undertaken with priority to the Poppy Appeal, unfortunately we no longer have the resources to manage any other events.

“Please come along and support the Branch, we will appreciate any help you may be able to offer and we assure you that you will not be pressured into taking on any responsibilities.”
