THE public - young drivers especially - are invited to attend a Road Safety Awareness Event to be held at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre overflow car park in Crediton on Saturday, November 28.

The free event will run from 11.30am to 1.30pm.

It will include a mock res- cue of a casualty from a car demonstration by Crediton firefighters.

The firefighters will use

“jaws of life” cutting equip- ment to cut the roof off of a cartoremovethepersonsafely, placing the person on a spinal injury board.

Crediton Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Am- bulance Service will also be attending and offering safety advice.

There will be demonstra- tion videos and a chance to “have-a-go” in a driving simula- tor vehicle.
