Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 7pm September 15 to 6am November 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 to 29 carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via B3181 and B3212 to junction 29.

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8am October 20 to 4.30pm October 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to junction 27 - hard shoulder only for horticulture.

A30, from 8pm October 20 to 6am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Woodleigh, lane closure for barrier works.

M5, from 8pm October 21 to 6am October 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 entry slip road closed for electrical works, diversion via M5 southbound, exit at, junction 28 to return northbound.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
