Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M5, from 8pm March 8 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 entry slip road closed for carriageway reconstruction/renew works. Diversion via B3181 and A38 to M5, junction 27.

• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M5, from 8pm March 12 to 6am March 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to junction 27 carriageway closed for carriageway reconstruction/renew works. Diversion via B3181 and A38.

• A30, from 6am to 3pm on March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Woodleigh lane closure for horticultural works.

• A30, from 6am to 3pm on March 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Woodleigh to Whiddon Down lane closure for horticultural works.

• M5, from 8pm March 19 to 6am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to junction 27 carriageway closed for carriageway reconstruction/renew works. Diversion via B3181 and A38.

• M5, from 9pm March 20 to 3am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 entry slip road access from A373 westbound, closed for electrical works, diversion via Cullompton roundabout and return.

• A30, from 6am to 3pm on March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Woodleigh to Whiddon Down lane closure for horticultural works.

• M5, from 8pm March 21 to 6am March 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 to junction 28 carriageway closed for carriageway reconstruction/renew works. Diversion via B3181.

• M5, from 8pm March 25 to 6am March 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to 26 closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via A38 to junction 26.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
