A REUNION for former pupils who attended Shelley School in Crediton between 1962 and 1974 has been hailed as a resounding success.
The reunion took place at at Crediton Football Club and 100 former pupils attended, many having not met up for more than 40 or 50 years.
There was a chance to recall memories with former colleagues and many took along photographs and other historical items including school scarves, hats, badges and books.
Admission was £5 per person and there was also a School Disco with John Cudlip. Donations went to Hospiscare and ELF, Exeter Leukaemia Fund.
Elaine German (nee Moss) organised the reunion with Maggie Vaughan, Yvonne Holland and Chris Wollacott.
She said: “I am so pleased how it went. We had about 100 people there and one person travelled all the way from Luton to attend.
“Among the many people I met up with was Russell Kenneford who I had not seen for 44 years.
“I hope anyone who went to Shelley School will find us on ‘Facebook’, keep in touch and post photographs on the site.”
