They have been selling tickets at the Thorverton branch as well.
Tickets are £1 each with the main prize being a doll donated by Pam Williams, a member of the original Friends when it was formed at Chiddenbrook in 1993.
Members of the League are sharing mornings at the Surgery to sell tickets, David and Paddy Dornom taking the first Saturday morning. Paddy is deputy chairman of the League.
The pink rabbit and penguin are also to be won, the rabbit made by Pam who lives in Crediton and was formerly Disabled Representative on the League. The penguin was made and given by a friend of a committee member.
Pam has made and dressed a great number of dolls in a host of different costumes from Goth to Japanese to Anne Boleyn, most of them with changes of outfits and all hand made.
