CREDITON’S QE School went all out on Wednesday, July 21 to ensure its Year 11’s got the best possible end to a very challenging year.

With restrictions eased on July 19, the school was able to go ahead with its Summer Ball at the beautiful venue of Hayne in Zeal Monachorum.

Students dressed to impress, with many arriving in spectacular style.

They enjoyed mocktails, a hog roast or a veggie burger with salads, ice-cream and incredible sweet goody bags kindly sponsored by local Crediton business Unique Sweets and Treats.

The weather was gorgeous, the music was pumping, and garden games, a photo booth and magic were also on the menu.

David Harris, Year 11 Team Leader said: “This year has been a difficult one for our Year 11’s, which I have to say they have handled with incredible spirit and resilience.

“Being able to make this event happen for them was very important to us as a school and I was thrilled to see them all in their amazing outfits with big smiles on their faces enjoying the night!”

QE would also like to thank Morrisons for donating ingredients for the salads, Disco Inkernow, The Magic Mirror Photo Booth, Ozzy Man of Magic, Taw River Dairy, parent volunteer Mark Wilson and Hayne for their support in this event.

QE ensured Covid safety measures were put in place for the evening.
