After all this exertion, which included some puffing and panting whilst climbing Coldridge Hill, it was time for a lovely afternoon tea and cuppa which went down very well with everyone.
Organiser, Debbie Keast, said: “The weather was lovely and perfect for sitting out on the lawn with the children having a fine time charging around with a football or playing on the swing.
“This event was to remember loved ones who had sadly passed away from breast cancer, those going through it and giving thanks for those that have come through the other side. A truly wonderful time for family and friends to support each other and name those that were on their mind that day.
“The afternoon was rounded off by a fabulous raffle with so many lovely prizes donated by those attending and others who were unable to.
“Tesco, Crediton Card Centre, Adams Home Hardware, Candimama, Twinkle Twinkle Little Tarr and Treloars also very kindly donated some lovely items as well - a big thank you to you all.
“At this time the amount raised for Breast Cancer Care so far is £805 which is amazing and we know the money will be used to help in the best possible way for patients from the time of diagnosis and as the treatment continues.
“Another wonderful charity event which we were so thankful to be part of.”
