A CREAM Tea afternoon, held at Halse Park Cottage, Newton St Cyres on June 8, saw hosts Glenn and Bev Bearne serve more than 80 teas, all in aid of Exeter Leukaemia Fund.
There was also a large raffle with some super prizes. The competition to Name a Teddy bear was won by Pam Goode, who correctly guessed his name was Stanley.
Crediton ELF fundraising group chairman, Nick Cordwent thanks everyone who went along.
In total more than 100 people attended the event which raised around £600 for ELF.
The next fundraising event for the Crediton group will be a Summer Fete (weather permitting) which will be held at Shirley House, Elston Lane, Copplestone on Saturday, July 6 from 2pm to 5pm.
There will be stalls, cream teas, a raffle and treats for the children.
All are welcome along and there will be plenty of parking available.
ELF supports the work of the Haematology Centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, which treats the region’s blood cancer victims, performs bone marrow transplants and conducts research into the causes and treatment of the disease.
