A COFFEE Morning run by the Friends of St Thomas of Canterbury Church in Lapford was well-supported and raised £155 for maintenance and additions to the church.

Edna Copus, a member of the Friends’, expressed her thanks to everyone who supported the event.

The Friends have recently provided pew cushions which, with recently installed under-pew heating, have given a very warm welcome for many in the congregation.

They now hope to arrange for some professional window cleaning and also leaflet racks for notices and events. They will also be running a stall at Lapford Village Market on the last Saturday in June, for further fundraising.
