DESPITE the wind and, at times, pouring rain, people made their way by car and on foot to the Christmas Market beside The Plant Shed at Copplestone on Sunday, December 8.
The marquee was packed, something as much to do with the local school setting the event going with song. Crafts people, mainly local, filled the stalls with jewellery, cakes, produce, wooden goods, all sorts of lovely gift ideas many that would not be found anywhere else.
The day raised around £1,000 for the new community hall and if all goes well, Copplestone might be seeing more positive moves towards building its hall and fundraising continuing in earnest.
