THE Prince of Wales, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, will visit The Devon Federation of Young Farmers’ Club’s new building in Cheriton Bishop on Thursday, July 20.
His Royal Highness will meet YFC members from across the 38 Devon clubs and see a range of activities including shearing, skills training and sporting activities during his visit.
The premises, purchased at a cost of several hundreds of thousands of pounds has been funded by grants, generous donations, Young Farmers’ Clubs from across the county and former YFC members, includes full office and meeting room facilities.
Fundraising is still continuing but is now nearing completion.
Upstairs at the Amory Building are offices let to four businesses which provide Devon YFC, which occupies the downstairs, with an income.
There is parking alongside the new YFC Centre, which was formerly the Mulberry Inn public house.
Devon YFC’s offices for the past 41 years were located in Marsh Barton, Exeter.
