A CREDITON Town and Mid Devon District Councillor has achieved some success concerning one of the issues relating to Joseph Locke Way, an unadopted road owned by Tesco.
Cllr John Downes has been in regular communication regarding issues concerning the road and is happy to report that Tesco has agreed to include Joseph Locke Way into their gritting programme.
John explained: “This is great news, the surgery contacted me during the cold snap and we wrote to Tesco’s and County about the bus stop and the gritting of the road.”
John thanked Stuart Hodges, Property Asset Manager, South West of England and South Wales Assets and Estates, Tesco, for the confirmation.
Mr Hodges confirmed: “The road has been added to our car park gritting schedule as of Monday night of this week.”

John added that he has also asked Redlands to grit from the surgery to the single bus shelter on Joseph Locke Way for the benefit of patients.
He said that Redlands has its own gritting contract for its car park.
