ON Friday, May 26 a small group of Crediton Walk and Talk walkers met at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre before driving to Posbury to begin our walk by heading up a track to Fivegate Cross and towards Blackdown Cross.

With the cloudless sky and warm t-shirt weather at last our walk involved several breaks to view the countryside with the different shades of green and red soil, well worth the walk.

Onwards again following the road down to Gunstone Mill from where we climbed steadily through fields and along a lane to Posbury and eventually refreshments at the Red Deer.

Crediton Walk and Talk group meet fortnightly at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre at 9.45am.

Walks start from the Leisure Centre or nearby and take around 90 minutes, covering about three miles.

Anyone is welcome and walks are free to join. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome, as long as they are kept on a short lead.

The next walk is on Friday, June 9.
