BY popular demand Reg Meuross returns to the Lamb Inn at Sandford this Friday, July 7.
Reg Meuross is an English singer and songwriter based in Somerset.
He has been described as "a warm, engaging live entertainer whose easy-going feel informs his discs and their songs of love, longing and true life stories".
Awarded Best Male Vocalist 2013 by Fatea, Reg first emerged on the British acoustic music scene when he formed “The Panic Brothers” with comedian Richard Morton.
Five years of touring and TV work followed their album “In The Red”, produced by Clive Gregson, with the "Brothers" appearing regularly on TV, including “Friday Night Live”, and at Edinburgh, Sidmouth, Glastonbury and other festivals.
In a previous guise Reg played with Hank Wangford as one of his lost cowboys.
His album “England Green and England Grey” was described by Mike Harding as “Possibly the best album yet from one of England’s finest singer/song writers”.
This year heralds a new solo album, “Faraway People”, a fresh collection of songs which comment bravely on life as Reg sees it, bringing wide ranging stories, from the ravages of austerity and the injustice of the plight of refugees, to some of most beautifully disarming lyrics ever written.
Reg has that rare gift of being able to touch people through his songs and performance, on a really human level. His words and music paint pictures that remain with the listener long after the song has been sung.
You will not be disappointed if you take a trip to the Lamb Inn at Sandford on Friday evening.
Reg will be appearing at the public house for the fourth time and he will be supported by Sadie Horler a young, local, up-and-coming singer-songwriter. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are available from the Lamb Inn on 01363 773676, Sandford Community Stores on 01363 775805 and Charlie and Di on 01363 772691.
